Question Viggen Bodykit Parts List

I've done some searching and haven't really found anything like this...

What parts does one need to put a complete viggen body kit, rear wing and all, on a OG9-3 or a NG900???

Also, are there any tips, tricks, etc one might need to be aware of when installing the bodykit??

I'll get the obvious parts out of the way:

Viggen front bumper
Viggen side skirts (3 or 5 door)
Viggen rear bumper

You also need the bumper brakets for the front and rear bumpers. The lower airshields for the front bumper.

If you use the same foam that is for the S/SE (this only applies if you are moving a viggen bumper cover (front or rear) over instead of the entire bumper assembly) then a small modification to the foam is required. All it involves is cutting out a little foam section for a slit that exsits in the viggen bumpers and not in the ng900/og9-3.

That is all that I know off.

Only the front brackets are viggen specific. I know SC has a thread on this, I'll look around and see if it was mirrored here.

EPC showed different part numbers for the rear viggen bumper brackets.

The brackets are the same but not the retainers that attach to the bracket.

Bracket PN for the viggen rear bumper: 5122676

Genuinesaab.com parts price lookup returns them at 66 a piece and you need 2 for the rear.

look for a thread on SC by JeremyR

he listed everything you need, and what you can re-use if you have a 9-3 S/SE

You need more parts is going from ng900 to viggen than 9-3 to viggen

And remember there always seem to be parts that will "work," and sometimes work almost 100% perfect, that might not have the same part number as the correct part when doing conversions like this.

Search for "Viggen Complete Story" and you'll find it. I listed all of the part numbers and list prices, so get ready for a shock when you see it all. Personally, I don't think there's much of anything that you should cut corners on when installing a Viggen kit except for the foam inside the bumpers and the mesh grille. The little pieces really make it look complete.

I agree 100%

look at a car with a full conversion inclusing splash guards and proper mountings... compare to a car with a crooked hangin bumper and you can see light coming in through the underside and wheel wells, just doesn't look complete, looks like some cheap aftermarket kit.

from a distance, nice... up close.... rice. remember that rhyme kiddies.

Well I guess over time I'll be slowly adding the pieces like the wheel well liners for the front and the extenders for the rear (when I have the rear bumper).

Zombie thread

I'm bringing this one back form the dead. I tried searching SC but was unable to find Jeremy R's post. Is there any other place I could find a parts list or look up what I need?
I'd like to get a handle on how much $$$ this will cost before I commit.

http://thesaabsite.com/93/93body.htm

parts 5122668 and 5122650 are the bumper stays. those are the main parts you need.

saabcentral cant afford a real database server, so they disabled the search function to try and keep their shitty server running. thats why you cant find the thread. however, if you use "site:www.saabcentral.com" on google, you find this thread: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=26717

if you're still considering picking up my bumpers, the rear has the bumper stays already. you'd just need the fronts.

Here's a LITTLE something to keep in mind...those square covers on the body panels that pop off to accommodate jacking up the Viggen are priced at about $65 each. I know because my front passenger one is missing.

Anybody got one they'd like to part with? Steel gray preferred but any color accepted, for a vert.

Are these still available? I would have to buy one if mine came off. I'd be embarrassed to not have one on the car... Heck I can't drive with one black cap missing on the wheels... - Just in case , where did you see them?

I actually zip tied my on so they have a better chance if stating put.

I was advised by SportsCar Service that Viggen jack covers can still be had but the search can sometimes be a bit far and wide. EEuroparts.com shows them at $62 each. New ones come unfinished, of course.
