Catalog kit on a 94, finally painted, DONE. 56K beware!

Finally they are painted and installed! After 2+ years they are DONE!! These are a few pictures I
took after our annual Ohio Saab meet. In the forward shots you will see some bugs as the car had just
gotten back from the trip. I didn't take the time to clean it up (again) since I was so tired. You
get the idea though!!

I detailed the engine bay:

The interior has been fully swapped from tan to black, with black carpet:

I put in my custom molded fiberglass sub housing (carpeted really fast so its not perfect yet):

I will probably recarpet that entire side of the trunk, then the other side as well when I do the same
with the amp.
I had the mirror covers painted:

Put on my saablink sticker:

Painted the antenna plug:

Painted the spoiler and badges:

Painted the Grille:

Story here is the grille is from RCM design (rob). He stripped the chrome and sanded it and gave it
to me when I bought his leather seats. I threw it in the pile of stuff to be painted and meant to
mesh it and put it on. I had some parts outside and my dad ran over the inner part of the grille
thursday night so I tore apart my stock grille and put the painted part on it, but didn't mesh it or
remove the center wing. I kinda like it, but I think it is a bit unfinished with the canter wing part
still there underneath. I be playing with that a bit.
And then here is a bunch of detailed pics of the bumpers so you can see the molding more clearly:

AND BEFORE ANYBODY GETS THEUR PANTIES IN A BUNCH ABOUT MY EXHAUST TIPS:

They will get replaced soon.

The car is mostly done cosmetically. I have a few things to do, like fog lights, I might mesh the
openings in the bumper and grille, and some odds and ends. The interior is close, I might replace the
seat inserts with some perforated silver leather, and I need to work on my amplifier mounting.
Next comes go fast goodies!!
Suggestions are welcome....

Wow, I didn't think 4-doors could look that great! This makes me want to keep my 4-door, lower it, and get a catalog kit now....

Your car looks excellent. The catalog kit really changes the whole appearance. I have a couple of questions and comments.

-What emblem are you using on the rear to fit in the decor panel?
-You're probably not looking to spend anymore money, but if you're going to go for the wingless grille, I'd recommend picking up a 9-3 grille, and then tinting it, as abduckted did.
-Wheels look EXCELLENT.
-Unless there's residue or difference in paint beneath your badges, I'd debaddge
-IMO, skip the mesh on the bumper openings and put a big mean intercooler / hoses in there.

Hah, I just typed that out and then realized you're working with a V6!

IMO NG900 and OG9-3 look better in 5dr compared to the 3dr.

Thanks! for the comments!

The badge is custom made one by me. Its terrible really. The badge fell off 4 days before the meet I was going to, so I tried to make one that wouldn't look as terrible as nothing. I printed out a logo on my color printer, and then glued it on. Then I took that two part clear epoxy stuff and poured it onto it (with the whole section removed on the table). It looked really good untill the epoxy started to wick around underneath the picture. Then it all went to hell. Anyway, it is better than nothing, and looks oK from 5 feet away. I will probably try again, or replace it with a new one.

The paint underneath the badges is discoloured. I sanded out the residue on the clear coat, but after carefull examination the paint is dicoloured under the clear. No option to debages without repainting the area.

As for an intercooler, thats part of the go fast stuff I mentioned

Where's your ashtray/cubbyhole?

You do the fiberglass work yourself for the sub?

Looks awesome!

Ouch, I hate to hear you guys say that!!

It sits on Intrax Springs and the ride is WAY too harsh. I hate to hear you say that because I am thinking about raising it back up with some Eibach springs. I love the looks too, but the driving is killing me. It goes around turns on rails though.

Anybody want to donate to a Tboy suspension fund? I could air bag it!!!

Tboy
