US-spec my 06 Aero Wagon

I don't write much here anymore, sadly. Mostly due to me nowadays being admin of the SAAB Turbo Club Sweden Forum

So, recently, I bought a 2006 9-3 Aero Wagon (pictures can be found via link in signature ).
I'd very much like to "US-ify" it.
So, by my recon, I would need the rear lights, the front yellow side lights, and the red rear side lights. Anything else specific to the US spec (beside speedo, but I'd rather keep my Swedish there). Do you guys still have the "objects in mirror..." on the right side mirror?

And, finally, where would one find these parts? I have scanned eBay for months, and all I ever find is the front yellow side lights as these are the same on the SS and conv. I guess not many wagons were ever sold in the US, which may count for the lack of parts.

Also, as stated in a wtb-thread; I'm well prepared to exchange parts if anyone wants to Euro-spec their wagon

The Swedes like converting to the US look with amber markers, same as we like to convert to European style clear markers. Just makes it different and stands out a little bit.

Sounds like we should set up some sort of International Parts Exchange program.

Well, being different is one part, but I really think that the US rear lights are far better looking than the white Euro-ones, they look like they've been in the sun for too long.
And the sidelights add to the general look.

Cross-atlantic trade has been an idea of mine for long. I know that some of you want Swedish plates (I wonder if it's legal to send them out though, hehe) too.
I would have no problem sending my stuff first, I have 6 other Saabs to drive while I wait for the stuff to return

There are some cheap ways to call, but you could also try e-mailing the US parts yards who might have the parts you want.

Do a web search for:

Goldwing Saab
East of Sweden
Volvo / Saab / Mini Cooper (near San Francisco)

They would probably all be willing to ship international if you don't find someone on here to trade with.

Perusing the U.S. eBay.com page you'll probably find some also.

I can't tell from the pic because the lights are on - are those the ice-block tails?

If so I'll trade you for what's on my Turbo X

I will take some pics of my tail lights first thing in the morning
They do look just like these:
Garaget | Saab 9-3 Aero V6 (2006)
I'll take a little look in EPC and make sure the taillights fit between 06 and 08 (I think so though).
The front yellow side lights are easy to find on ebay, the rear red ones for the wagon are quite rare, but I'll keep an eye out, thanks for the tips on part dealers, it's pretty darn difficult to find "real" ones just by searching the internet, you'll never know if they're legit or not.

Tail lights fit 2006-2010, at least, according to WIS.

I don't think you'll have a problem trading those, we really like the look of the clear lamps here!

Mine aren't the all-red like in your picture so I'm not sure you'd want mine.

The Turbo X and newer lights are clear with a black outline and a vertical red deflector. I'll take a picture for you.

Well, I'll be damned... It seems that SAAB actually made an external upgrade for the US rear lights for MY 2008!
Look at this 2007:
http://0.tqn.com/d/cars/1/0/G/j/ag_07saab93_rear.jpg

Ah! I get it. For MY 2008, they removed the grey plastic on the bumpers, so, they needed to put the red reflective area somewhere else. So, they decided to put them in the rear lights instead.

Well, it's the 2006-2007 US look I want, but I'll check in with a Turbo X friend, I think he said he wanted US look too

So, who's got a 2006-2007 9-3 wagon?
