Exterior bulb LED conversion

Anyone have any good ideas for doing an exterior bulb LED conversion? As in LED brake light bulbs/turn signal bulbs? I don't want to wire in resistors and deal with heat problems, I consider that a bit of a hack job. It would be nice to source an LED flasher relay that you can just plug and play so everything plays nice together. It's tough to do nowadays with high tech cars with 25 different computers controlling everything in the car. I mean, there's already LED's on the car in factory configuration, those three amber LED's at the corner of the LED eyebrow, and the amber side markers are LED's too (I think).

I know where to get the bulbs, but does anyone have a good solution for flash rates/error messages besides a wire-in resistor? Are there even other options?

You can buy bulbs that are LED that fit into the factory socket, I haven't seen it used on a 93ss yet. Custom tail lights are a lot of work!

I had LEDs in my reverse as well as license plate, but they kept on strobing after the car shut off. They needed a resistor. As for turn signals, I believe it is the same bc you will get an error on the dash computer.

I put LEDs for my license plate lights and I have no problems. Here is the website where I purchased my LEDs. They also have resistor load kits you can purchase. Good luck.

Did you look at the link? They have the resistors that you want. They arent plug and play but its the best ive found to deal with the burnt out headlight warning and it helps the side markers blink at the appropriate speed. Its at the bottom of the page.

Yeah, I know that website, they've got some good stuff. However, I'm just worried about heat problems with resistors, they do get pretty hot. I think I'm just gonna stay stock until someone comes out with a Saab LED flasher relay to address both the flashing and the error message problems.

I did more poking around and I found a few relays on Ebay. If some one checks the dimensions on the relays they might fit.

I understand some people dont like Ebay, but its an option.
