Handsfree Installation

Need a little help installing a Motorola HF 850 Bluetooth Kit. An old subject, I know, and I'm sure there's plenty of info out there, but I haven't been able to find it. I've removed the passenger side console panel and glovebox and am looking to see whether my 2007 Anniversary 9-3 has the Tel 1 prep, or whether I need to by the Harness (Part #32025900 Adaptor)? Can't find drawings or photos that show where to look. If I have to buy the adaptor, where does it plug in?...a photo or drawing would help there too. Any instructions, drgs, photos that might assist would be greatly appreciated!!

Just out of curiosity, does you're '07 have On-Star? If it does, you cannot add Bluetooth (just an fyi.) All of the kits that I have ever installed have come with the adapter, so I would guess you need it.

Idk if anyone else on here has had the fun of installing one of these kits, but if anyone has, then feel free to chime in and confirm or deny what I'm saying.

Thanks for your reply...my car doesn't have onstar or nav, so no conflict there. My car does not have the tel-1 prep...any idea on where to buy the adaptor harness, and how the leads map into the car audio wires, etc.?

Hold that thought for a few minutes, and I'll try answer your questions.

Is Tel-1 Adaptor Harness a Necessity

I believe I read somewhere that you can take the Moto HF 850 leads directly to the appropriate wires behind the radio and forget the adaptor. But, I think I also may have read that the Tel-1 adaptor harness includes some sort of in-line voltage regulator. Does anyone know if that's the case? Otherwise, I just need to figure out how to map the 4 or 5 HF 850 leads into the radio's mute and audio leads...I may have collected enough info out to work through that exercise.
