tinted tails

a friend of mine who has a shop help me tint the taillights on the 9-3 we got a quart of the cars pain(jet black) made up and after a little wet sanding and a layer of clear coat we got this-

there blackberry pics, ill try and get some better ones tomorrow.

car off-

day time running lights-

flashers on-

with the car off its incredibly dark but the day time lights, brake lights, turn signals all show up perfectly fine. Hes painting the grill to body match as well hopefully it'll be done tomorrow.

Those look great! Im surprised how much light those let through, Ive never been a fan of tinting but it looks very good on your car (mostly since you did it properly).

ive never liked tinting over the red, it just never looks like its 'supposed' to be that way - but you have done a great job here. The best Ive seen yet. Looks really nice on your car.

Looks sharp man. I'm not usually a fan of the blacked out tails, but yours looks very nicely done.

And i definitely like the subdued grille.

Nice work!

looks good. I'd like to do this but I would probably leave the clear portion as is.

dig the tails, looks sick when the lights are off, and like how lets just enough through when they're on.

also nice grille.

grille and tails actually look good. what color wheels do you have? all black wheels and window tint would really complete the look
