Audios

So my friend just picked up a 2004 9-3.

What have people done for headunit's, speakers and maybe a small amp and 10" sub?

opinions? Reviews? pics?

the stock speakers arent bad. and i know at least in the newer models you can tune the mids/highs/lows. i kept all that stock and threw in my 10" JL audio w7 with a 500/1v1

this is a pic of when it was in my jetta:

the saab's trunk is a little bigger. i can fit 1-2 luggages in the trunk still even though this enclosure is huge. some tracks cause a lot of rattling while others dont cause any at all. if he wanted to go this route hed need to eventually get some dynamat or something similar

if hes looking to only replace the speakers, id recomment either eclipse, jl audio, or alpine. stay away from cheap brands like sony, pioneer, kenwood, etc. and take it to a specialty shop. i took my 9-3 to a specialty shop that had worked on several saabs before and it still took them 5 hours to figure out all the wiring. i wouldnt trust some random high schooler at circuit city with my car

for headunits...alpine is the only way to go. or nakamichi if you have the money...theyre really good and have a very clean stock look. any other brands look cheap/out of place and arent as high quality as alpine or nakamichi

I could be wrong but I don't think you can really do much. From 03-06 93ss had fiber optic audio systems. I am not sure if any one has come out with any adapters for them yet.
