DaSaabGuy's C900 airflow PROJECT

Ok folks, as some of you know I picked up a C900 this past saturday and I wanted to start a thread of the "budget" build. I will need as much help as possible because I am new to the C900 world. Here are some of the details

motor is from a 1991 900s non turbo 2.1
polished intake manifold
polished valve cover
polished intercooler
polished intake pipe
Turbocharger (T3 - TB0339 466420-2 752140)
Airflow kit
Group 6 APC
Jetronic Remapped ECU
15" Inca wheels

i sourced the grille, headlights, and corner lamps from a guy out in LA for $30, he also included some extra fuses, an extra fuse box cover, and some saab viking center caps.

A good place to start is Jon Williams' "was Edwardian Gray SPG, now Pearl White Airflow" photo album over at the NYSOC website. It's a photo essay of his complete build.

I'm not sure anyone but Jon builds Saabs at that level.
What Jon is very good at is taking pics of and documenting the process of putting things together. When you've got a few hours to kill, look at some of the other albums in his "garage". You'll learn how the cars are put together pretty well.

Wow. That's one dusty car. You look like you just came off of a drive on the Trans Labrador Highway. Have fun. Take pics. I ***might*** have a set of not-too-bad hatch struts for you. I'll have to dig around in the garage tonight.

Wow! You definitely have your work cut out for you. And yes, Jons work is on a level all it's own.

Definitely keep us posted with your progress. Should be nice once you've got it completed. If there's such a thing...

Good luck...

Jitters

You know I really don't like those rear decor panels all that much, but I think one might not look too bad on the back of that car. As for the struts, I'll get into the garage tonight and see what I can find. I got a li'l sidetracked last night.

Awesome find! I envy you! That thing will be great once it's cleaned up and sorted through. Good luck.

the C900 is cleaning up nicely.....

I finally got around to washing the car and I have finished aligning and bolting up all the airflow kit panels except for the front bumper. There were some bolts missing here and there that caused the panels to flap around. Car is pretty much cleaned up (just needs a little more in the engine), rear seats are in, rear trunk covers are in....its starting to look like a decent car now.
