1999 9-3 No Start

Starting a few weeks ago my gfs car would not start and would only start with a jump. She took the car into a Saab Mechanic in the Albany, NY area who claimed to have fixed the car by installing a new ignition switch which they said was bad.

The car started when she left but yesterday it wouldn't start and again today it wont start. I need help with this as I have no idea whats wrong or whats going on. I don't understand how the car starts without a jump, but will start immediately with a jump. She had the battery checked at Auto Zone and they said the battery was good. Fuses were also checked.

Another possibly related issue is when the key is removed the radio can be turned on. The mechanic said this should be fixed with the new ignition switch, but obviously didn't work.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Car specs:
1999 Saab 9-3 Manual base model

So now the car wont start at all. No noises at all including fuel pump or starter. No click, nothing. When the key is in the on position the headlights and radio will turn on. Key in the off position and the radio still turns on. All fuses and relays checked and are all still good.

Update: turns out the ignition switch was faulty and additional parts were from a 900 and not a 9-3 which caused the issues. All parts were swapped to correct 9-3 versions and a new ignition switch was put in the car. Fingers crossed everything plays nice.
