Thanks guys, looking forward to driving it. The bidding war was something that I had never experienced. I have only heard of it happening. Caused a lot of stress for me, as the two of them were on me like I was some rock star or something. You have to understand, I'm a timberframer and I can go days at a time without having a conversation, so that my communication-chops can go by the wayside. If the fellows who were bidding away are on here, my apologies for bolting, but hell... That was a bit intense.
I'm not going to go into who they were, I reserve that portion of my personality for scammers and people who really want to waste my time. Fact is, it was a miscommunication and who wouldn't expect someone to be a little crazy in the face of such a deal? My thinking was that I would like to streamline things. Less cars! Less fuel consumption and less hassle... My summertime viggen dreams set aside for that. Wishing I had a heated garage and a lift to get into the nuts and bolts myself instead of giving up the maserati, but it is what it is! One fast car for another...

So, before you guys chastise me for relisting the car for sale, I promised her (the Mrs)... we all know this game... that I would get rid of some stuff. But I also told her that I am not going to lose money on anything. Hence my listing the car for the 2625 I paid. I have it scheduled to get the clutch done next week...

Ha!

I'd consider getting it, but my wife would kill me. I've already got 4 Saabs, a Dodge truck, an Opel GT, a Chrysler LeBaron and a Volvo in the yard. I've heard the same thing from her. Nothing new until I get rid of a few.

Yeah..but when did you pay 2625 for it??

I offered you the list price when it was up. I don't like this whole relisting for more money business, so I'll pass. Unless of course you're saying it'll be sold with a working clutch.

Right now I'm in a Nisan Sentra loaner while I get a new trans in the Volvo. I tried putting my Dodge Dakota 4x4 back on the road but my mechanic says it needs too much to make it road worthy (brakes, battery, exhaust, brake lines, fuel lines...) so it will probably end up on Craigslist. I'm thinking of getting a new (to me) 4x4 truck. I'm afraid if I get a car, I'll never put the DD back together.

I don't want to sell the car, if I'm a bad salesman...
