Central locking issue NG900

Hey guys,

So I haven't started my car up in a couple of days and today I go to hit the key fob...doors did not unlock.

The lights blinked as they would to unlock the car. The trunk button works. I was able to unlock manually and start the car.

I can not use the remote to unlock the doors or lock the doors. The inside lock/unlock button does not work either. It "wants" to work.

It can't be the batteries in fob bc the trunk button still pops hatch. If remote needs syncing with car I don't understand why the trunk would still pop? Fuse #25 is intact.

Any help on this central locks issue?

I recently had an issue with my central lock control module thingy. I replaced the drivers side door actuator but that apparently was not the problem. I removed and disassembled the module to find that a solder joint had cracked. After re-soldering it the locks immediately began working. Unfortunately I plugged the module in with the battery connected so it tripped the SRS light. Bleh.

I'm having the same issue with my car. I'm going to do some more searching. I'm not sure where the central locking module is.

It's under the driver's seat, against the door sill I believe.

Thanks for the reply. Being a SAAB it ended up fixing itself mysteriously. Odd but I'll take it!

my car fixed itself too, but I bought an extra lock module to have on hand for when it inevitably fails again.
