9-5 Trans temp sensor

Can you replace the Trans Temp sensor ? All I could find is one picture of it! The car is a 03 Aero.

No, it's inside the transmission. I believe you have to remove the valve body to get to it, but I've never actually seen one go bad. I have had a few where the wiring was bad either at the connector into the transmission, or a pinched wire going from the connectors to the TCM.

What's yours doing?

Well I replaced my trans a year ago. I replaced it with a Saab Reman. When cold first drive of the day back out of my driveway go from R to D. It slams into drive. It only happens one time in a day and only on the first drive.

I saw a bulletin for a updated or modified valve body. My dad is a saab service manager, the transmission I bought in August of 2010, His tech seems to think its the temp sensor. I guess this trans is already out of warranty. I dont even have 10K on it. If you look at the bullentin harsh engagement from R-D leads you to the temp sensor. Bulletin number 440.2497
