Difference in Chime Level for Left/Right Lane Departure Warning, is this Normal?

Today, I was playing around with the "Chime" level in the settings(using the Navigation system. Wasn't sure what raising it would do, or for what chiming it was referring to. So I changed it to 'High'. Of course, I wanted to test to see if the LDW would be louder, so I veered to the right and it actually sounded quieter than before. Then, I veered to the left and the chime was definitely louder. A problem, or is the system designed this way for a reason?

Sometimes the module will send the previous setting for the first actuation..

OG9-5 alarm sirens were this way.

Thought I did the right veer twice and had the same lower chime level each time. I'll try it again later and see if it has changed. Thanks.
