Bad temp sensor

After 9300 miles I have had my first problem. Sunday I got a check engine code and the temp gauge is inoperative. The display showed a fault that the AC would be turned off because of the high engine temp. Checked the engine and it was not running hot. Brought it in yesterday and they diagnosed a bad temp sensor. Part not in stock They said the would overnight it and have it today. Hope so.

Sucks... This is covered by the warranty, right?

I was told that if I think I can cover 11.000 miles in 30 days I'm dreaming. Who says I'm not...

Yeah, fully covered. My concern is the amount of parts available. They had to overnight the part, so it took 2 days instead of one. Not a big deal and the dealership I dealt with was very good about loaners and keeping me posted. Funny thing is the same thing happened in my '04 9-5 Aero. Nice having the car back.

Honestly, I'd worry more about the amount of skilled mechanics. I don't know how many "technical" differences there are between the older models but it scares the crap out of me thinking that my car could be the "training dummy" of a mechanic...
