Headlight Failure after Emissions Testing

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums and also new to my Saab. I just bought a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero. I took it to get the emissions tested here in Colorado and while on the dyno at the testing center, both low beam xenon lights failed and now I get the "left low beam failure" and "right low beam failure" faults. I have checked the obvious fuses and nothing seems to be blown. I have tried disconnecting the battery and that didn't do anything either. The bulbs were replaced like 3 weeks prior to the incident, so I don't believe it is due to bad bulbs.

Does anyone know of anything I can check or look at, or has anyone ever heard of this happening? The ABS light did come on while on the dyno as well, but that went away after a few miles. I am baffled by what could have happened, it seems like something they did fried something in the electrical system. Any help or advise would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

how do they connect to the car to do this dyno emissions testing?

these saabs get very cranky when you connect to the electrical systems wrong. usually this happens with an improper jump start not state run emissions testing.

its also possible the bulbs are toast. when you installed them were you wearing gloves?

if not you could have fried them before install.

Are they the correct bulbs? My wagon had incorrect brake light bulbs installed. They worked for about 2 months after I purchased it.

Thank for the replies. Yes, they are the correct bulbs. Direct replacements. I did wear gloves while installing the bulbs. I have also tried switching the bulbs to new ones again and nothing. I am not exactly sure how they connect to the electrical system but I believe it is through the port under the steering wheel.

Thank you
