Steering Racks (Rebuilt or New)

Getting ready to disassemble my SPG for prep and paint before I rebuild everything, but considering replacing the existing steering rack with a new or rebuilt one when everything goes back together. Steering has always been a little loose since I've owned the car, and I have already replaced all inner and outer tie rods. I've heard bad control arm bushings can cause the same symptom, but I don't have any play down there.

Anyone purchase a rebuilt one from eeuro or elsewhere? Suggestions on quality...etc?

Not a popular choice, but if your nifty with your hands and have access to a small press you can rebuild your existing rack.

I did one a couple months back. Not a bad job once you clean up. It's all seals and o-rings..

Yeah I forgot to mention I also have had checked over the ball joints because those can be a culprit as well, but they seem ok. I might just replace them with new and see if that helps.
