Need advise on turbo upgrade

I have a like new TDO 4L 14T THAT CAME OFF A 07 93 2.0. Can I take this unit, remove the manifold portion and put it on my 01 95 2.3 as an upgrade? Someone has advised me the units are not compatible. I have a Gt 17 on there now.

It doesn't sound like much of an upgrade.

01 linear still had the GT17 I think.

SO yes but you need the oil and coolant lines of the bajoes and cruscsh washers to make it fit

I know I have a Garrett. This extra turbo I have has different numbers than those used for the normal Garrett upgrade to Mitsubishi. I also know about lines and or crush washer changes and/or even banjo bolts. What I am asking is this Mitsubishi turbo one that I can fit on my 01? I need someone who might actually know the variations in the numbers of each turbo and if the one that came on this 07 9 3 can be fit to my 01 95 2.3.
But, thank for your reply.

short answer...no. Longer answer...MAYBE if you had both ends from a from a td04hl 15t (believe that's the correct model for a 9-5) you could use just the center section from the turbo you have, although I don't think that's possible. You would be MUCH better off selling the turbo you have and buying the proper td04 for the 9-5, they're on the board here frequently for 2-300 bucks. I've bought 3 thru this site's classifieds

ps you will notice 0 difference between your gt17 and the td04 without a tune. If you want to get out on the "cheap" buy a t25 from a ng900, those are usually readily available for about 100 bucks (some modification required)

Thanks so much. I appreciate a man in the know. I am not looking for boost just a better and longer lasting unit and since I already have one I expect some of these, as they age, are going to come up failed some time soon. It was removed from a crushed car and taken off professionally. I have all the lines and washers and banjos. Some one will want it someday.
