FYI again...any large recycle yard in your area should have several SID's in their stock...most of the time you can go right out the door with it and try it in your car and return it on the spot if it does not work...I replaced both units, the ACC and the SID by tying several ones until I had two perfect units...both cost me 25 dollars each.

I just went to BBA in Taunton, MA. Great service and after two days my SID is ready for a pickup. Going there tomorrow. $69 to fix pixels.

I would like to hear from someone who already had their SIDs fixed. How long did they last? Mine (from effin Kramer) was broken again after 2 months...

I had Guy "fix" mine... wouldn't warrenty his work when i got it and told him quite a few lines were still out. His response was to give it a few weeks to see if they'll start showing up. They didn't and he did not reply to my emails after the fact. For BBA, i sent my auto acc to them and their response was they could not fix it. Sent me a full refund back though.

I've used BBA for 4 SID's and an alarm module, no problems and great service.

I like how you paid 2 million dollars to this other random place, but you need a presidential order to send your SID to one of the most recommended companies on this site, with a solid warranty and a great price. Just saying. Send it off and be done with it!

We all have to step into a pile of shit one day or another... And I don't need an order to send it. I bumped the thread so new members would avoid the same pile.

PS: lol, I got STF'ed I guess I deserved it...

Just another thumbs up for BBA, in case any more recommendation is needed.

Had three (or four, can't remember) SID's rebuilt by them, an alarm module, a throttle body and a Volvo ABS control unit - never any issues, not once. Shipping was not always the fastest, but work was top notch and the price was awesome. Oldest rebuild on an SID about two and a half years ago.

Second (and third, fourth and fifthly?) for the new members (like me) BBA Reman is the way to go. I shipped mine there, had it repaired and shipped back within a week for $135. Works great.

Derek I'm sorry you got stiffed man.
