No start, fuel pump?

So we have a 2000 9-5. Haven't driven it since last week and today my dad goes to start it up and no go. It turns over but doesn't start. Checked all the fuses (the ones I assumed would prevent it from starting - like the fuel pump, etc.) and all of them were fine.

Now, I'm assuming its something like the fuel pump, but not completely sure. Can you fully hear the fuel pump when in the car? And where exactly is it at?

My fuel pump went out yesterday. You normally can distinctively hear it prime when you first flip the car to "on" before starting. You can try to tap on it to get it going again, though that may not work.

In a 9-5, to access the fuel pump, flip the driver side rear seat bottom forward, lift up the carpet flap, then pull off the silver plate. There is the fuel pump. In order to remove it you usually need the "special tool"
