Help! ABS module is not my problem....

Hoping for a bit of help here.

Okay, so a while back my CEL and Traction Control Off lights came on. Idle went way down as well.

My mechanic pulled the codes (not sure what they were) and suggested that the ABS module needed to be replaced. As the dealer only sells the complete unit pump and all he was in favor of me sending the module to the US for a remanufacture. This I did and BBA Remanufacturing (who have been excellent to deal with) determined there is no fault with the module.

So, now I'm waiting to get the module back. I don't have a problem with driving the car without traction control or ABS but the speedometer would be nice to get back. I can see it now (Officer: Do you know how fast you were going when I pulled you over? Me: No, I actually have no idea!)

I did get the codes from the mechanic. They are:

P1251 (0,a,12,51)
P07050 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)

Then below that on the print out is says the following:

14 Solenoid relay abnormal connect or solenoid circuit open
17 Motor pump circuit short or short to earth

Any ideas? I'm hoping the mechanic is not out to lunch as he came pretty highly recommended.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

P07050 is the gearbox selector switch mechanism, it sits on top of the transmission, where the selector cable meets the housing. I had the same problem, and replacing it fixed it.

Good luck with your ABS issues...I've had effed up ABS on my 9-5 Aero going on 7 months now. I've replaced wheel sensors, had my module rebuilt, replaced the module with a used's crazy. One of these days I'll track it down.
