I went around and around on that. The real issue was the advanced suspension setup was not available on the four cylinder - I wanted the HiPer strut and the new stuff in the rear.
My preferred configuration would have been four cylinder, XWD, HiPer-strut, and 6mt. But that particular combination is not available in the US, at least in MY-11. So I went and got an Aero right now.
Having driven the 2.8T with auto, though, I like it quite a bit.
