Working seven days a week for the last six weeks has really delayed me - but I am making progress. I even found a place that is lightening the flywheel - taking it from 21 lbs down to 14 lbs. And I'm not working this weekend, so I should be able to get more done.
I replaced the rear seal with no problems - it was more difficult getting the old seal out, than the new one in. Having that plate that the seal mounts in off the engine makes all the difference. I just lubed the seal with a little oil, was able to tap (not hammer) it into the plate, then mount the plate to the engine. Again used a little oil on the inner circumference of the seal, and was able to guide it into place easily .........
And again, if I wasn't so anal about being aseptic, it would probably go faster !
