Intermittent starting problems

I have an '97 9-5 Auto with the 4cyl

Most of the time the car starts fine. But, 1 of 10 times or so the starter doesn't engage. Battery is fine. Garage replaced the neutral safety switch but that doesn't seem to fix the problem.

When it doesn't start I just have to give it 5 to 25 minutes and then it will start. Moving the gear selector from park to neutral and back doesn't help.

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments? The guys at the import garage seem at a loss. The Saab dealer in town is absolutely worthless. Love the car, but I have a two year old and it's winter. I can't keep it if I am not confident it's going to start when I have my little girl in the car w/ me.
