Engine Bay Pictures

I'm looking for ideas and things to do for my car. I can't seem to find a lot of engine shots. The only engine bay thread I know is for the 9000 soooo want to start one? or not..

Edit: Also, when installing an oil catch can, the thin metal bar that surrounds a quarter of the head is deleted correct? and a hose replaces it (valve cover to catch can)? thanks

i dont know, i just let it the way i have it because i was in a rush and did not have time to find out about that.

side note, the catch can has been on for about a year i think and i went to drain it... there was almost nothing in it. i thought there would be atleast a few drops in it.

Cleaning is easy. It just takes time.

This is what it looked like the day I brought the car home:

This is what I'm starting out with. Why does the valve cover/DI/back plastic cover always seem to turn white-ish after a while? What will make these have the fresh look? thanks

I used some forever black on the engine cover, fuse box lid & battery box. Thats where the dark black comes from. Repainted the di.

Thanks. So forever black will work on the valve cover and not harm anything? Thanks.

Anymore engine bays out there?

No, not the valve cover. Forever black is only good for plastic such as the cover over the tb, near the oil dipstick.

The valve cover on my car just got cleaned off along with the rest of the stuff under the hood. Spray down a warm engine with simple green, hose it off.

No thats a custom intake. Nicks has a heat shield baffle and installs in the stock airbox location.
