Magnaflow! Straight through design, sound awesome, and are reasonably priced.

Whatever you do, DO NOT go with a Flowmaster. The "chambered" design is not good for a turbo car.

Thats what I have on my SPG. Flowmaster 40 series. I see no problems with it.

I have a magnaflow 6" round muffler. Its very poppy and burbly. An oval muffler will give you a smoother purr rather than an aggresive pop and snarl. A flowmaster gives you that pulsey sound. They all are pretty much free flowing straight through designs, it just depends on what sound youre after.

A chambered muffler adds unnecessary backpressure on a turbo vehicle.

The madrel bending of the pipes done by aftermarket exhaust companies is good for 2-4 h.p. depending on the severity of the stock bends. Most local exhaust places dont have a mandrel bender so changing the pipes out doesnt do anything if pipe size it not increased.

My opinion, if its more noise and a little more power just add the best flowing stainless muffler to the current system and never do it again. If you increase pipe sizes, then a local shop and only stainless. Dont care about money but want ease and better gains than most local shops can offer with no pipe size increase, and aftermarket exhaust.

NOISE does not mean power, some think it does is why Flowmasters are sold in the numbers they are!!!

and

Thought I would add this review too.

On my Aero, I ran a 3" downpipe, catless, to this muffler.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

It sounded great and was not too loud. No drone on the highway however it had some "bark" when I stepped on it. If I was building another exhaust for a turbo vehicle, I'd go with a Magnaflow for sure.

i do know that in maine if you are required to get your car decibel tested, it is done at 3800 RPMS (3/4 of peak hp RPM) and my car was about 10 decibles above the 95 db limit.... which is bullshit because my car isnt loud compared to, just about every truck in the town...
