I've been Hirsch'd

I went and had the Hirsch software upgrade installed on my '10 9-5 Aero this afternoon.

There was too much traffic coming home to give it a real test, so I'll have to follow up. But the car is definitely zippier. It responds quicker to the gas pedal, the turbo is spooling up faster, and it downshifts *much* faster.

It feels more like a Saab -- the "OMG here comes the turbo" spot is easy to locate. The stock programming required some persuasion before it would let you have your way.

Oddly the car seems quieter at speed - or has a resonance farther outside my range of hearing - but also slightly noisier at idle.

More to report later . . .

Just a tune, no hardware. 330hp up from 300. 325 ft-lbs up from 295.

Substantial improvement in driveability. The car should have come from the factory like this, eager to rev and quick off the line.
