Ha, random thread bump. Thanks everybody.

Thanks Gabe -- I think I'm good to go. I got a nice set of OEM bars and feet off eBay a few weeks ago, and I have a newer set of Thule and an older set of of Yakima snowboard holders out in the garage somewhere. That reminds me, the Yakimas need keys...

The car got new Sachs shocks and SAS poly rear spring spacers last weekend. Thanks to DrewP for your help.

300 mile review: Holy fuck it drives like a new car. Previously with the HDs, it was fine under 55mph, at least until I would need to turn into a driveway... the outside rear tire (usually the left when turning right) would rub on the wheel arch. Now, there's no rubbing and some stretches of freeway that were unbearable are now handled with grace and poise. It actually feels like my tires are always in contact with the ground... what a concept! As a bonus, it doesn't feel like I gave up any body roll, though it does sit a 1/2" higher in the back.

Drew also discovered a loose wastegate arm and after some finagling, it boosts much quicker.

The a/c compressor pulley has gotten a bit noisy, but all in all, it finally drives as good as it looks.

Tires are General Exclaim UHP 205/50/16. Same tire/size I have on my 88. They are probably the last set I'll ever buy as I believe General has discontinued/replaced them. I love them because they are quiet, moderately grippy, great in the wet, they wear well, and the sidewall has just enough give to offset the hard springs. They "float" a little more than a 45 sidewall, but I am OK with that. Might have to look into spring spacers for the rear though, as I rubbed twice on big freeway bumps on the way home from the tire shop with 80 pounds of old wheels in the hatch.
jeff ride is looking awesome....what is the width on those rims? 16x6.5 or 16x7? I need to check it out in person soon!
