I believe so. Though, like I said I never was able to get it working properly.

If you've got a Bentley, look up the wiring diagrams for the LH ECU circuit.

Some of my wiring cues are in my thread.

I dont. But its not that hard.

I used a multi meter to figure out what side of the fuse was the switched/fused side. Opened up the box about 2 inches. Sniped the wire, stripped it, and soldered on the 10awg wire. Ran it though the rest of the fuse box/corrugated tubing to the other side of the car. Done.

Wicked easy.

Yes, the purple wire is the trigger. Don't solder to the fuse block. Buy some round terminal connectors and solder those to the ends of the wire.

Fitting Trionic system to classic Saab is just a waste of money and time in my opinion.

Saab EV-1 uses 1985 SPG engine with LH2.2 system and vaccum controlled distributor and stock bosch coil, and makes 285 hp at 16psi of boost. You can now tune in real time LH2.4 system using free available software, just buy some reflashable eproms and chip burner.

Hey! Do yall have any advice on the coolant temperature sensor mounting? The one I have is way too small for the threads of the normal CTS. Is there a bigger threaded one that fits? I have a 1996 harness so I think the CTS is a bit diff but I could be wrong.

Which coolent temp sender?

the manifold ones should be the same thread, IE no issue

the other one does not interact with T5, it talks to the cluster/dice/rad fan. leave the stock one in (for the one on the side of the head)

also, i just realized this thread is over 2 years old, i think this is probably the most sucessfull thread ive ever started drunk!!

Nope, Don't need it, you just need the one that goes in the inlet.

The one with the harness on it is definitely available in 2 different thread sizes. On an original t5 car that sensor fed the temp. gauge in the dash and turned on the cooling fan. I have yet to do the t5 conversion, so I don't know if it's necessary for your application or not. That one should be screwed into the end of the head near the thermostat housing

And MikeD, you're spot on. I want to do this conversion to get a more reliable, drivable car. Something I can start and walk away from without it idling like ass, stalling and killing the battery
