Hi Ive recently Purchaced a 1999 Saab 9-5 2.0T eco power with the inevitable sluging problem, Head is ok, Block is damaged as piston has caught in block. Will the stronger B204 Block fit with no issues? would use original B205 head and ancillerys? If not, are there any other reccomendations as dont really want to fit another B205? If a 204 can be fitted does it matter which vehicle it comes from? ie a 9-3 9000 900 etc....and does it need to be a turbo motor originally? Please help as I want to buy the right combination first time. Many thanks Mike!
Yes, the block will fit, you will need to strip it down and use all the 9-5 stuff. The pistons are the weak link in the T7 car. I would use forged replacements vs the stock T7 or trying to make the T5 ones work.
