I just cleared a P0420 code tonight and I have to go get my Inspection Sticker tomorrow. The code haven't come back since, but I am sure it'll probably come back because I think my Bank 1 O2 sensor is bad. Any recommendations on what I should do?
Lol. I got a 426 the other day but my manifold is leaking and that could have been what set it off (not too sure). one of the studs are missing and I haven't gotten a chance to fix it yet...so hopefully i can get through tomorrow and get working on all of that.
Yeah. That on my list aswell. I just bought a guage that will tell me if my car is running lean/rich so I am also going to hook that up after the inspection is done.
Make sure if you have aftermarket lic plate frames that block any of the letters on the lic plate top or bottom it will fail this is a new rule that just came out , they knew I was waiting for my wifes 9/3 they let me take em off
Thanks Yeah I have a saab plates on the front and a cover on the back. I am actually planning to switch back to my stock wheels as well for the winter. So when i get up tomorrow I plan on doing all of that.
Walkaround like Stig said. My 9-3 just failed today because of a tiny tiny crack in the flex pipe. What fuck, Batman?!
You should be good to go, though... my holier-than-Jesus-leaky-exhaust-broken-lights-fairly-typical 900 failed NH inspection a week after it passed MA inspection.
DO you have an aftermarket exhaust? I have the GS v2 DP and I am throwing a P0420 code every now and then. But my OBD II reader doesnt state what bank it is on. I am suspecting its the one after the cat as the car runs perfectly with great mileage and my wideband is showing excellent numbers.
Is this a common code for the v2 DP since its a race cat ? or do I have a faulty 02 sensor?
I do have an aftermarket DP it's throwing the code on Bank 1 which I think is the very O2 sensor on the DP so I am going to replace that sometime next week. Ohh yeah I passed with no problems.
Yeah apparently this is the year where they don't check the engine lol but the guy hooked it up to the computer and then he gave me the sticker. Took all of 2mins lol.
I currently have a CEL right now and I think it's the same one that came back. So I am going to change out the O2 sensor and go from there.
