My 2001 9-5 V6 has a pretty good shake to it at idle, especially in drive. If I'm in drive, say at a stop light, and I barely press the gas just to rev it the slightest bit, I get a major vibration. Things rattle and the mirrors shake so much I can't see out of them, like if I've got the bass all the way up. With 176k miles on the odometer, I am think the engine mounts might be a little tired. When I brought it in for the timing belt a few months ago they found that the transmission mount was broken in half, so I replaced that. I don't want to spend the money to have the rear lower one done, and the torque rod looks alright from a visual inspection. So, I was thinking about maybe ordering a new upper mount for it. The one over by the serpentine belt on the passenger side. Mine looks to be pretty sunken in compared to some pictures I've seen of new mounts. Has anyone ever replaced one of these and gotten noticeable results? I don't want to spend $140 and then have it not make a difference. Thanks.
