I did the swap. You will need the 9-5 Aero water line since it has a different fitting on the end compared to the GT17 line. You will also need the corresponding 2 12mm washers and 12 mm banjo bolt.
it's line #1 in that diagram. as for driving impressions, it's a bit less responsive than a gt17 and without an aero ecu you don't get the added power for the increased lag. it's not horrible though, only noticeable if you're really picky. it'll drive fine on the lpt ecu. No adverse effects on fuel economy.
I thought mine drove better on the lpt ecu with the TD-04.
Slightly slower spool, but didn't run out of breath up top. With the 2000 Sport ECU, it runs great with all the mods and a TD-04.
And obviously it runs 100% perfectly with a Stage 4 tune and the TD-04.
