Cant get the metal masters for a 9-5.
Right now I have the Akebono Euro Ceramics and really like them (only about 400 highway miles on them though). The reveiws people were giving me about them were great, high life, good bite and low dust.
The best pads to date that I have had on my car were the Hawk HPS. Those were awesome, but a bit pricey. Then again they were only like $15 more than the Akebono's. Oh well.
Make sure you put new rotors on there as well. At $49 a peice from eeuro, and free shipping, it really is the best bet.
EBC Yellow Stuff are very good. The new formulation gives full braking when cold (unlike the old ones), same dust level as OE and they last longer. Cheaper than Saab pads too.
horrible. i ran through them in less than a year, and they were dusty as can be. i would not recommend them one bit. In fact, I would tell you to steer clear of them. They are just not up to the task of a 3500+ lb car.
this is my dads dd and he's been hearing this horrible sound from the pads being worn down... i can def feel ridges in the rotors so now i'm thinking brembo blanks on the front
so i ended up ordering front akebonos from GS... they say GM on em though... are these the same as stock front pads?
I believe the Akebonos do come stock on the brand new 9-5s so I wouldn't be surprised if they had GM markings somewhere. They aren't the ones that came stock on your 9-5 though.
