some fun with Di-Noc
I recently ordered a sheet of Di-Noc from Don's listing in the classifieds to use on my dash. I was having to redo my headlights at the time, so I had some fun with the extra Di-Noc material.

Stop tempting me to find a 9-5 Aero.
The CF parts look really good. I'll be using that on my custom dash, eventually...

The di-noc made me wish I have a dark interior- that would probably look so much better (mike does your NG have black seats?). Those are the factory xenon headlights and turnsignals. I took them apart, painted the housings with nightshade, and lined the interior pieces with Di-Noc. There is a carbon fiber weave laid down with JB weld directly in front of the bulb so that it will withstand the heat in that area; so far none of the paint I've tried has been able to.

Matt it looks fantastic dude! You took the lights apart AGAIN?! I didn't realize the heat from the Xenon was melting the paint dude. Man I need to do this. I've used the DiNOC on a couple things so I'm familiar with it. Interior looks great too. If you ever wanna get rid of the beige Aero ventilated seats lemme know
Would some high-temp grill paint hold up you think? It definitely should, and it's a matte finish so it would look correct. That chrome ring around the projector lens is part of the light itself isn't it? I'm thinking of painting that one too. Seriously dude we should get up to trade stories man - I'm in GSO so we could meet halfway, wherever you live. I'm trying to retrofit a MACH 1 mustang front lip this weekend(with a lot of mods to it) this weekend, IF the weather cooperates. Cheers bro

Thanks! Haha yea man believe it or not, even the high temp engine manifold paint wasn't enough. Somehow the paint absorbed enough heat, and the plastic underneath bubbled and melted through. That fake chrome lining that comes factory actually does something I guess

Wow man, that looks awesome, even more reason for me to do my dash with it! Let me know if you set up a Charlotte meet, i could make it down there for that.
