Saab 9-3, no spark.

I have a 2000 Saab 9-3, and I'm not getting any spark. I have a feeling it's the direct ignition cassette. I grounded all of the spark plugs to the negative on the battery and tried starting it and nothing happened, no spark from any of the plugs. Is there anything else I should try trouble shooting before I go and pay for a new DI Cassette?

Getting fuel?

If not, Crank position sensor.

Thanks for the quick reply Dan. Would the crank position sensor cause the DI Cassette to not make the plugs spark?

If the ECU doesn't get a crank signal from the CPS it doesn't give spark or fuel.

Hence why you should check to see if you're getting fuel.

Well I wasn't getting fuel, so I actually changed the fuel pump at first. I posted another thread on it here...

2000 Saab 9-3 Problems

I started a new thread about this because I think it's a whole different issue now, obviously, haha.
