Question car shakes when stopped

Hello all, i have a 99 9-3 s 2.0 auto and when the car comes to a complete stop it shakes (sometimes). also when putting it up into park or reverse from drive... it only shakes for a second or two and then goes back to being normal. does anybody have any idea on this?
thanks
bill

It's pretty typical of auto SAABs. My sisters 87 9000 turbo did it, my wife's 9-5 Aero does it too. It's worse of the AC is on. I just ignore it.

clean ur throttle plate area sometimes if its all carbon ed up it has a hard time to run smooth. i found on mine that if its cold out and u use regular power steering fluid it may cause it too. just got some synthetic stuff at Canadian tire and it was good to go

You need the Saab whisperer to talk to it - sounds like it's either frightened or cold.

Sometimes I shake when I'm excited, super excited.

It's definitely not a constant shake, right? Sometimes a dying flexpipe/intermediate pipe will cause such a vibration but it's much more constant. And loud.

I say the issue is a either a worn motor mount(s) or transmission mount, or both. Each are not difficult to check.

mine gets a vibration at idle sometimes, especially with the A/C on that I tracked down to the 3" exhaust hitting on the crossmember, gotta fix that one of these days, plus Im hoping that stage 2 tranny mount from GS will help with that too
