We actually have a combi, pretty much identical to yours that is doing the exact same thing. Saab is sending us a new tranny...

Sevice Programming System (it's a Tech 2 thing.) Anyway, Saab had us replace the ECM for another issue and as a result, all fault codes got cleared out of the computer. But after a day or so of driving, the codes were back and when Saab Technical Assistance was called on the issue, they said they didn't really have any diagnostics for it and told us to order a transmission for it.

Aaron, To search these real quick in SPS I need to know which module (ECM) those codes are from, I am guessing the first two are from the TCM (trans control module), in which case: P1895 is 'Actual engine torque. Bus data unreliable' P1896 is 'Driver requested engine torque. " " " ' These could point to problems with computations in the transmission module, or possible with throttle positions sensor? (driver requested torque.... maybe a stretch, could be hard to check). B3981 is a code in the CIM, for PDM (passenger door module) missing, or bus data not added. The diagnostic info is: "The fault code may be set if the +30 supply to the PDM has been broken and restored when the ignition key was in the ignition lock. See "After fitting a control module" under fault diagnosis, general. " It also goes so far as to say that this could result in a no-start, or immobilizer troubles. +30 is switched power, maybe the window seals or otherwise let water into the passenger (front) door, caused a mess with the computer. Try divorcing the PDM and re-adding it (after pulling it out and making sure everything is dry), see if it goes away. You will need a Tech2 and an SPS subscription to do this. B2525 I cannot find in PDM, but it's a UEC (underhood electrical center) code for fog light malfunction. We're open 8-3 tomorrow if you want to swing by, I could at least take a look. It might dry out in the next few days too and go away. As a side not, I am about 150% (+/- 51%) positive that unplugging the battery in the SS will not 're-set the code' like in the earlier cars. The modules will go to sleep, but depending on the code the CEL may well re-light, the trans malfunction message may go away, because it happens once the adaptation sequence has figured out there is some hardware problem for example (what happens in our '03 4-cyl), but things like an emisssions related code which lights the CEL won't go away. They're stored on shut down. Make sure that you wait at least 2-3 mins after shut down to disconnect the battery to allow all the modules to correctly go to sleep and finish their save sequences. That can cause erroneous fault codes or adaptation problems on re-start as well. You can give me a call if you want, my work number is 310 666 592 six. Best, Drew

P1895 00 and P1896 00 are fault codes generated by the TCM ME9 2007 V-6 engine no torque signal.....im thinking its a P-Buss issue....ME9 is on the otherside of the buss getting great information from the MAF.....otherwise it would run poorly....on the other end of the P-Buss is the TCM/ESP....between them is the AHL module....or just before TCM/ESP......i think AHL is where the break in communications is....those codes want you to refer to ME9....when you scan a 9-3SS you scan all systems...at the same time so ME9 should have a code generating from TCM/ESP....i would have to see...if you have Zenon headlamps....you will have AHL auto headlamp leveling system.....if AHL goes down on the buss like a fuse failure....the vehicle will not start.... i have more information....i would like to see the vehicle
